To ensure greater security when using Compekun, we offer two-factor authentication and a passkey.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication is a security feature that requires two different authentication factors for login, such as a code sent via email or a code from an authentication app, in addition to your password. This prevents unauthorized logins even if your password is leaked to a third party, providing stronger protection for your account information.
How to Use
To ensure greater security when using Compekun, we recommend setting up two-factor authentication. You can set it up using the following steps:
- After logging in, check Security Settings
- There are two types of "Settings" menus; choose one and press "Update." Details of the two types are as follows.
Receive a two-factor authentication code via email ... When logging in, a two-factor authentication code will be sent to your registered email address. Entering this code will allow you to successfully log in.
Receive a two-factor authentication code via QR code/authentication app ... After pressing the "Update" button, a QR code will be displayed. Scan the QR code using a smartphone app such as "Google Authenticator" and confirm that your authentication information has been saved to the app. When logging in, you will need to enter the two-factor authentication code. Entering the 6-digit number displayed in the app will allow you to successfully log in.
*You can install "Google Authenticator" from the link below (please use from your smartphone).
Recovery Code for Unavailable Authentication Apps
If you lose the settings saved in the authentication app, or if the mobile phone you were using the authentication app with is not working, you can recover by entering the recovery code. The recovery code is displayed when you set up two-factor authentication in the QR code/authentication app. The recovery code is just as important as your password, so please save it in a safe place. We strongly recommend printing the recovery code screen or downloading the file from the "Download Recovery Code" button.
Passkey
Passkey is a login method that uses fingerprint authentication, facial recognition, or screen lock on your smartphone or PC for identity verification instead of a password. Comp-kun now allows login using a passkey in addition to the traditional password login.
Benefits of Passkey
- You can log in without entering a password.
- Secure identity verification is possible with fingerprint or facial recognition.
- Reduces the chances of password entry errors and password reuse.
## How to Register a Passkey
- After logging in, check Security Settings.
- In the "Passkey" field, enter a name if necessary. Enter the name of the device you will be using so you can easily identify it later (e.g., iPhone, Android, MacBook, Home PC).
- Press "Register Passkey".
- Follow the instructions on your device to perform fingerprint authentication, facial recognition, or enter a passcode.
- Once registration is complete, it will appear in the list of registered passkeys.
How to Log in with a Passkey
- Open Login Screen.
- Press "Log in with Passkey".
- Follow the instructions on your device to authenticate.
- Once authentication is complete, you can log in. ## Checking and Deleting Registered Passkeys
You can check your registered passkeys in "Security Settings**". Unnecessary passkeys can be deleted from the list by clicking "Delete".
Please Check Before Use
