The matching scorecard method is one way of defining ranking when scores are the same. It is not defined by the Rules of Golf, and there are several calculation methods. "Compe-kun" uses the following method, which is considered the most common:

The total scores are compared in the following order, with the lower score ranking higher:

1. Total score for the IN course (holes 10-18)
2. Total score for the IN course (holes 13-18)
3. Total score for the IN course (holes 16-18)
4. Countback from hole 18
